Special Notes

1.  Omīkron is the fifteenth letter in the Greek alphabet. The character's name literally means "small o" as opposed to ōmega which means "great O." The English spelling for the vowel's name may be spelled either "omīkron" or "omīcron." This grammar adopted the former spelling because there is not a "c" in the Greek alphabet.

2.  Omīkron's phoneme sounds like the "o" in "pot" or "ou" as in "ought."

3.  Omīkron is a voiced vowel like all vowels. Its corresponding long phoneme is ōmega (the 24th and final letter in the Greek alphabet). The vocal cords vibrate while the phoneme is pronounced.

4.  Omīkron's capital and small letters are written like their English counterparts.

5.  Omīkron is transliterated into English as "O" or "o."
