Click on this menu button at any time to read a short synopsis for the purpose of each vocabulary set. Some of the more advanced vocabulary sets have further detailed instructions.
Vocabulary List
Choose this option for an alphabetical listing of the lesson's vocabulary. Left-click on any vocabulary word for its pronunciation.
Word-By-Word
Choose this option to review Lesson Eight's vocabulary word-by-word. The Greek lexical form is cited with paradigm-declenion notation. Click on the speaker to hear the word pronounced and/or click on "Answer" to see the translation. Navigation through the words is by the blue arrow keys below the speaker.
Vocabulary Quiz
Ten Greek words are displayed on each page in the left column. Use the pull-down menu to choose the correct corresponding English definition. At the bottom of the page, you may choose to see the correct answers and how many you answered correctly, as well as advance to another set of vocabulary words from this lesson.
Parsing Quiz
All vocabulary words from Lesson Eight are used, as well as vocabulary words from previous lessons. Ten inflected Greek words are displayed on each page in the left-hand column. Use the pull-down menu to choose the correct corresponding parsing of the word. At the bottom of the page, you may choose the option to see the correct answers and score.
Auto Greek-English
The lesson's vocabulary is presented in random order. The Greek word is first presented at which time you are to recite its English translation. Then the English translation is automatically cited at which time you may associate the Greek-English relationship.
Auto English-Greek
The lesson's vocabulary is presented in random order. The English translation is first presented at which time you are to recite the Greek word. Then the Greek definition is automatically cited at which time you may associate the English-Greek relationship.
Translate & Parse
This exercise is the most difficult in the vocabulary set. A Greek word is displayed for seven seconds in which time you are to recite the translation and parsing of the word. A second frame follows for six seconds giving the proper translation, parsing, and lexical form.
