In the biblical series, Will You Be Disqualified?,
a difficult but serious question is addressed.
Is it possible to be disqualified from the
inheritance even though redeemed? What
constitutes the inheritance? What the Apostle
Paul wrote to the Corinthians, he believed that it
was possible for him to be disqualified. Since
it was possible for Paul to be disqualified, does
this infer that we too may be disqualified?
"24Do you not know that in a
race all the runners run, but only one receives
the prize? So run that you may obtain it.
25Every athlete exercises
self-control in all things. They do it to
receive a perishable wreath, but we an
imperishable. 26So I do not run
aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air.
27But I discipline my body and keep
it under control, lest after preaching to
others I myself should be disqualified" (1
Corinthians 9:24-27).
This series of messages identifies what the
redeemed are TO DO to avoid disqualification, and
focuses on the importance of "walking by faith" as
compared to the popular misnomer of someone taking a
"step of faith". These messages identifies the
error popularly espoused by those of "this present
evil age" that a redeemed person can never be
disqualified from their inheritance, despite living
ungodly.
The goal of these messages is to expound how
God's redeemed are to walk in "this present evil
age" to ensure they are not disqualified. The
emphasis is for the redeemed to persevere and to
inherit what God has planned for His children who
walk by faith. Furthermore, the current
ministry of our Lord and Savior as High Priest is
exemplified to be absolutely necessary to realize
the FULL future inheritance. Therefore, it is
imperative that the godly qualities clearly depicted
in the Scriptures are to be lived NOW in order to
have an entrance into His coming earthly kingdom.
