The
General Epistles
The General Epistles (also called
Catholic Epistles) are in the form of letters. They are termed "general" because for
the most part they are addressed to a broad
readership rather than to specific assemblies as is
the case with the Pauline Epistles. However, 2 John
and 3 John are commonly included in this group
despite their addresses respectively to the "elect
lady" and to "Gaius". The Revelation is
usually excluded from The General Epistles because of
its distinctive writing style, but it is actually a
letter that was addressed to seven congregations in
Asia Minor.
The General
Epistles Collection includes the following
diagrams.

information about each of these epistles, click

In addition to the
above traditional single-paged format, overviews for entire paragraphs and
chapters
are available for The General Epistles by means of expanded page
dimensions. Although
these overviews are not designed to be printed, they will be
helpful to orientate the user to the overall syntactical structure of a
sentence/paragraph. In conjunction with a classroom computer and a LCD
projector, these overviews will add a visual learning dimension that has never
been possible before in the history of NTGreek diagramming.
The General Epistles are
bookmarked
by chapter and verse for easier
reference.
And if you should decide later
to upgrade to the
NTGreek In Diagram Membership, you will not lose any previously
paid amount.
It is
recommended that this diagram set be purchased after at least three
semesters of Greek.
